Writing a review for a provider

Reviews help other parents choose the right provider — and you don't need a Bornbir account to leave one.

How to write a review

  1. Open the provider's profile on bornbir.com and go to the Reviews for [name] section (when the provider has reviews, the Reviews link at the top of the profile jumps there). If no one has reviewed them yet, it says "Be the first to write [name] a review!"
  2. Click Write a review.
  3. Choose a star rating (1–5), tell us about your experience, and enter your first name, last name, and email. All fields are required.
  4. Click Post review, then check your email — unless your review went live right away (see below), we send you a link to verify it.

Reviewing a provider from your messages

If you've been talking with the provider on Bornbir, you can review them without leaving Messages. Once you and the provider have both written in the conversation, their Profile tab (and Reviews tab, if they have reviews) shows "Worked with [Name]? Tell other parents how it went." Click Write a review — your name and email are already filled in — and when you're done, Back to conversation takes you back to the thread. The prompt goes away once your review of that provider is published.

Verifying your review

After you submit, look for an email with the subject "Verify your review of [provider name]" and click the button inside — your review publishes the moment you do. Until then it isn't shown on the provider's profile. The link works for 7 days; if it expires, just submit your review again. Don't see the email? Check your spam folder.

One shortcut: if you're signed in to Bornbir, your email address is confirmed, and you use that same address on the review, it publishes immediately with no extra step — you'll see "Your review is now live". (If you verified your account by text only, you'll still get the verification email.)

Reviews submitted from the provider's own email address aren't accepted — providers reply to reviews from their portal instead.

What's shown publicly

  • Your star rating, comment, and the date of your review.
  • Your name, shown as your first name plus last initial (for example, "Jane D.").
  • Your email address is never shown publicly.

Providers can post one public response under a review. If they respond to yours, it appears beneath your review on their profile, labeled "[Name]'s response".

Review invitations from providers

Providers can invite past clients to review them, so you may receive an email like "How was your experience with [provider name]?". The Write a review button in that email takes you straight to the review form on their profile — filling it out works exactly the same way.

Editing or removing your review

There's no self-service way to edit or delete a review after it's published. Email support@bornbir.com with the provider's name and the name and email you used on the review, and we'll help you update or remove it.
